For the course "User Experience and Design", me and my team were tasked to rework the user interface for the Stihl iMow, a robotic lawnmower.
We found out that the menu hierarchy of the current app did not make a lot of sense, and neither did the one on the product itself. We set out to make a more logical hierarchy on the Mower and the docking station, as well as on the app. We decide that the GPS map screen, along with common commands should be the home screen, and the calendar and settings to be the other two main screens. The calendar was chosen to be more visual than the app's current design, reminiscent of the google calendar app, which allows user to edit and add mowing times much more easily, and is more intuitive. The settings were changed to be sorted into different topics, and given a more standard and intuitive look.
